Earlier this year I attended the NAIDEX exhibition in Birmingham (you can check out my favourite stands here), it was my first time going and I had a really good day. One of the most eye-catching and downright pretty stands belonged to Blue Badge Co. It was a little bit of aesthetically pleasing heaven that my eyes desperately needed.
The thing I always complain about is disability products being boring, ugly and grey, but this brand certainly isn't that. If you want colours, pretty fabrics, an array of designs and textures on your disability and lifestyle products, look no further. Not only am I going to show you two bloody marvellous products but I am giving you the chance to win them both. Amazing right? I know, I know.
Blue Badge Company began six years ago, and you may have heard of them from BBC Two's show Dragon's Den. Over 40% of the staff are disabled or primary care givers, which is awesome! And their products can be bought directly from their site, as well as found in Argos, Boots, WH Smiths and The Post Office. You'll find products ranging from hot water bottles with vibrant covers, to pill boxes, colourful walking sticks, lap trays and many more. Blue Badge Company ship internationally with delivery from only £2.50.

I didn't realise that I already owned a Blue Badge Company product until I met them in Birmingham back in March. My disability parking wallet that I picked up in a local mobility store a few years ago is made by them. I remember taking the longest time trying to choose between the skull case that I eventually bought, and one with dogs on. It was a tough choice, my friends, but the black and white skulls stole my swinging brick heart. Here's the link for the case I have.
Disabled Blue Badge Holder in Stellar* | £18 | Blue Badge Company |
This case in Stellar, I feel is the perfect design for everyone. It's classic, neutral and yet still enough of a design to draw the eye and make a statement. The geometric pattern is really interesting and not only makes me think of stars, but also Christmas - therefore making a fab present.
The case perfectly houses both the blue badge and clock which does not require removal to alter the time. Each wallet also comes with a free clock timer - so don't worry if you lose one. The information on your badge is never covered and yet always protected.
Blue Badge Co. have so many designs and different materials that there is something for everyone. They allow you to show your personality or interests by the most simplest product. And they're functional.
Since I have a parking permit and have used it for approximately three years, I can attest to the great quality of these cases. Mine looks as if it's brand new out of the box, it's not bent, the corners haven't curled and I still love it now as much as I did when I first bought it. Previous to my current holder, I had a pink faux leather case from eBay and it lasted a few months before the edges were destroyed, the colour faded and I desperately needed to find a replacement. I'm not exactly the most light-handed person and once I set my timer, I launch my blue badge into my front window, so it does take quite a bashing. But my skull case can handle me going Hulk on inanimate objects.
Mini Hot Water Bottle with Soft Cover in Emma Bridgewater Hearts* | £20 | Blue Badge Company |
Heat therapy, especially during these colder months is my absolute go-to-favourite-thing and saviour of all my painful joints. Not only that but your girl can't control her temperature so when it's freezing and I can't get warm, there's nothing better than a hot water bottle. Let's not get it twisted though, who isn't a fan of a water bottle, especially if they're cute and someone else is making it for you (as I'm not trusted with a kettle)!?
I love all things Emma Bridgewater, and this super soft, cotton, padded cover with red satin ribbon is adorable. The quality is exceptional and it is beautifully made. Inside the delightful little cover is a 0.5 litre rubber bottle. It's the perfect size for travelling and a great gift for anyone. You can also add a personalised message up to 25 characters for an extra £5.
If you haven't checked out Blue Badge Company, I highly suggest you pop over and give their trendy, unique gifts a look. Not only are they easy on the eye but they're so practical and add personality to items that can be somewhat ordinary. They currently have their Christmas collection online and I definitely recommend it.
Also, don't miss out on my giveaway! Even if you aren't disabled and don't use a blue badge, you might know someone that does and it will make a lovely present. Good luck.

ReplyDeleteThis is lovely! I didn't actually realise that you could get anything to spruce up the blue badge - it feels like there needs to be more statement and variety items for disabled products as they are generally so dull and just functional without style.
