An Introduction to Antipodes Skincare

I have had various Antipodes products in my skincare routine for quite a while but over the last few months I have added more and more, and my skin is very happy about it. With that in mind, I thought I'd share a few items that you absolutely need in your life.

My absolute staples that I use almost everyday are, Grace cleanser*, Reincarnation exfoliator*, Saviour balm*, Aura mask* and Vanilla Pod moisturiser*. Every time I complete my skincare routine I feel squeaky clean and baby soft.

Grace cleanser is a gentle cream cleanser that is sensitive enough to use on the eyes and remove any traces of makeup. I tend to double-cleanse and use Grace as my second cleanser, after an oil, to make sure all impurities are removed. After washing the face with Grace (lol, I'm a poet), because it is a cream consistency it feels like it has moisturised the skin too. Some cleansers I have tried leave the skin feeling bone-dry but this totally doesn't. It is suitable for all skin types, including irritated and sensitive skin.

After Grace, every few days, I go in with Reincarnation. This is infused with essential oils of sandalwood, sweet orange and tonka bean which calms and balances the skin. You'll read this a lot, but Reincarnation is a very gentle exfoliation, it has small jojoba beads and avocado oil that lift dead skin cells. I often get a dry nose and as much as I love this product, it isn't always vigorous enough to give a deep clean, so if you're extra dry, I'm not sure how you'd get on with it. The ingredients, however, do add hydration to the skin and does not irritate.

Every morning, or after a shower, I lather my face with Vanilla Pod day cream and I absolutely love it; I might go as far to say that it's my favourite Antipodes product. I applied this cream ten hours ago, have worn no makeup and my skin is still soft and hydrated. It is full of natural goodness that keeps the skin nourished and protected. It also has properties that heal, reduce the appearance of wrinkles and scarring, as well having antibacterial goodness. It is so deeply moisturising, sinks into the skin quickly and smells incredible.

I featured Saviour balm in my recent monthly favourites as I can't get enough of it; multi-purpose products are a staple and this is one of the best I have tried. It's an emollient, deep conditioning balm that can be used on the face, body and hair. I use it daily on my cuticles and lips as I'm the queen of chapped lips. It has blended oils which are packed with antibacterial, antifungal and antimicrobial healing good stuff. If you're a fan of a multi-purpose balm, definitely give this a go.

I couldn't do a skincare post and not include a mask, and Aura Manuka Honey mask is everything! If you have dry skin, go and buy this immediately; it is so moisturising and full of antioxidants. It helps revive tired, dull skin and aids in healing any blemishes. I had my monthly breakout over the weekend and instead of going for my usual non-hydrating mask, because I didn't want to exacerbate the hormonal spots, I applied Aura, and have woken up the next day with no redness and them healing. I was pretty shocked at how effective it was; my skin is intensely moisturised and free from blemishes. It's such a great mask, and I highly recommend it if you suffer with breakouts.

My skin has never looked or felt better, it's hydrated, soft, supple and glowing. I am so incredibly impressed and keep asking my boyfriend to stroke my face like the little weirdo that I am. I've had problematic skin for as long as I can remember due to hormones and all the medication I take, so am really glad I'm seeing such a huge improvement in my skin.

I am a massive fan of Antipodes and you totally need to try them if you haven't. They have so many great products for all skin types and concerns. I cannot recommend the products I have mentioned above enough; but if you have to get any, make sure it's Aura and Vanilla Pod - they're standouts.

Have you tried Antipodes?
