I’m haven't been feeling Christmas the last few years; I know, I know,
blasphemous, but it’s the truth. Just call me the Grinch. I’m 32, I don’t have kids and I just don’t get excited
anymore, it’s a strange feeling. However, I won’t bore you all and complain
about the holidays, instead I’m going to take you down memory lane and share a
few things that made my past Christmases unforgettable and really special.

My Dream Accessible Bathroom
*Disclaimer: This post is commissioned by Bathing Solutions to give my thoughts on what I look for in an accessible bathroom
We moved house at the end of April and I love our accessible bungalow; it's really big, plenty of room for my wheelchair, lots of storage space and just all-round amazing. However, whoever lived here before us really (and I mean REALLY) liked pink. The whole house was pink and floral, not to my taste in the slightest. Ian has worked his way through a few rooms and we're more modern, yet our bathroom is hideous.

Accessibility: Captioning Your Instagram Story
If you're using Instagram Story and are not adding captions when you speak on there, why? Yes, it takes a bit more time. Yes, you have to watch your clips back a few times, but ultimately, Instagram, and all aspects of social media and the internet should be accessible to everyone.

Why I Decided on Quick-Step Laminate Flooring as a Wheelchair User
*Disclaimer: This post is sponsored by Quick-Step
It feels like ages ago that we moved house but we've only actually lived in our new bungalow a couple of months and the decorating is still all on-going. There's currently only the hall that is complete; or so my boyfriend will tell you, I, however still need mirrors and art hanging, and then it'll be ready. But, the walls are done and the floor is down, so technically it's just the added extras that need doing.

My Biggest Insecurity As A Child
Do you ever look back at things you used to worry about as a child and wonder why you wasted so much time thinking about them? Things that kept you up at night? Things that you made a big deal out of? Things that were so small you don't even think about now?

The Chronic Illness Diaries: Fatigue, Fatigue, Fatigue
Sleeping is a funny thing; sometimes I don't do it at all, other times I do it too much and sometimes it's a mixture of both, thus resulting in a very zombie-like Sarah.

Not Feeling Guilty When Needing To Rest
(Source: Instagram @HelloSunshine)
It's been a struggle for me these last few weeks. I've not opened my laptop, I've barely even looked at it sat on my living room floor as the thought of writing, trying to write has filled me with dread. Not only that but I've had zero energy.

Disabled and Sexy: Bras from Figleaves
*Disclaimer: This post is sponsored by Figleaves
This kind of content is way out of my comfort zone but I want to show that plus size, disabled bodies are desirable and sexy. With that in mind, I picked a few bras from Figleaves that made me feel all kinds of beautiful. It's amazing what lingerie can do!

Accessible Days Out in Fife: StAnza and Beach Wheelchairs
*Disclaimer: This post is sponsored by Visit Scotland
During my week-long stay in Fife, I had three accessible
days out planned; I was visiting the Dunfermline Carnegie Library &
Galleries (you can read all about that here), catching a poetry performance at
StAnza and venturing to St Andrews beach to test the beach wheelchairs.

Accessible Day Out at Dunfermline Carnegie Library and Galleries
*Disclaimer: This post is sponsored by Visit Scotland
The first full day we had in Fife I spent exploring the
Dunfermline Carnegie Library and Galleries, and it was awesome. As a book
lover, a history fan and someone that loves to learn, visiting the DCL&G
was always going to be a winning day out for me.

Accessible Accommodation in Fife: Homelands Trust and The Rings
*Disclaimer: This post is sponsored by Visit Scotland
Whilst staying in Fife we got to stay in two different
locations; Homelands Trust in Lundin Links and The Rings in Cupar. Both were
accessible self-catering places but they were very different.

Falling in Love with Fife
*Disclaimer: This post is sponsored by Visit Scotland
I’ve been with my boyfriend for almost six years (I know,
he’s a lucky guy) and we’ve never been on holiday together. We’ve had a few
days in London but I was having tests at hospital and we’ve spent many a night
in a hotel as we had a long-distance relationship for a while but we’ve never
had what you’d class as a proper holiday…that was until the beginning of March
when we spent a week in Fife, Scotland.

An Introduction to Using Alt Text/Image Descriptions
If you hadn't already noticed accessibility is really important to me. As a writer and someone that posts a lot of content across social media platforms, I want everything I do to be accessible for everyone. I didn't know much about image descriptions until a few years ago but since then I use them religiously so anyone with a visual impairment can access the content I create.

To The Guy That Commented 'I've Always Wanted to Try A Chick in a Wheelchair'
Since posting more pictures of me online the influx of
creepy private messages and comments has soared. They either want to cure me of
my disability, marry me or both, and quite frankly I’d much rather they just
pissed off.

The Chronic Illness Diaries: Flaring, Freezing, And Ruined Plans
I realised I haven't written a 'day in my life' type post in quite a while so want to make it a much more frequent thing because living with multiple chronic illnesses means my days are never the same and I want to bring more awareness to it.

My Journey Finding The Right Wheelchair
*Disclaimer: This post is sponsored by Access Your Life
Finding the right wheelchair can often take a lot of time
and a lot of hours sitting in an uncomfortable chair. Not every wheelchair user
parks their bum in a wheelchair and it’s perfect for them. Funny that, right?

Accessorising with Mia Tui
Disclaimer: This post contains PR samples
I absolutely love an accessory. Before I got 'back into fashion' I had a Vans backpack I used all the time and a little cross-body to hold my purse and keys in. I wasn't too bothered about accessorising until my love for fashion reignited. Back in the day, before I lost my confidence, I remember having a wardrobe full of bags, I had so many, it was pretty ridiculous...and although I don't think I'll ever be that wild, I do have quite a few and I absolutely love these from Mia Tui*.
