Life Update: We Moved

I've lived with my boyfriend for over a year. We lived with my parents in a town just outside of Liverpool but recently moved to Northants. It's a three hour drive away but it's where my boyfriend is originally from and all of his family live here. It's a massive change, we live in a little village with Ian's (my boyfriend) Dad and it's very different to what I'm used to. We're currently saving up for our own place and that's really exciting.

I need to stay away from Right Move as I'm obsessed with looking at houses! I also love interior design so I'm always looking at wallpapers and colour schemes for our imaginary home.

The most annoying thing is changing GP and sorting out all my hospital appointments, as I have a lot. It's certainly not easy being disabled and having to start afresh somewhere. I'm hopefully meeting my new doctor this week, so fingers crossed he's lovely and understanding.

  1. Good luck with your new appointments, I recently just changed from my previous Dr and hope you have as much luck as I did. It all went smoothly.
Saving for your own place is tough, I worked both full & part time for 3 years to save for ours and although I've cut my hrs in my pt job, I'm still doing 2 jobs even a year after our home purchase.
But once you get it, and it's yours it's just the most amazing feeling. I want everyone to have that feeling :)
Even after moving I still spend my days in work on property sites & watching Kirsty & Phil, I'm obsessed :p
Good luck with everything and stay excited xxx

    1. I'm an awkward case so I'm hoping the GP/hospital changes will go okay and no hiccups, or I'll be so stressed.
      Thank you, I will do :) x

  2. Lovely blog. Glad you got to move in and good luck with your appointments! Just gave this afollow :)

Feel free to pop by my blog sometime if you have a moment. I'd really appreciate it if you could leave a comment or follow back :)

  3. I hope you enjoy living in Northants. I'm happy in my home but so guilty of looking at houses for sale. I don't know what it is, I just like looking and see all the different interiors etc. I can imagine the pain it is changing doctors etc and I hope you find a new doctor who is understanding and empathetic

    1. Thank you. I love looking at houses, I sometimes go for a drive and scope them out like some crazy house stalker lol.
It's so stressful, especially with a history like mine, fingers crossed they've heard of my conditions lol x

  4. Hi Sarah,

Glad things are going well. I know what you mean - changing doctors is such a pain! I had to recently when I moved and I still go for check ups to make sure my transplant recovery is going well, I miss my old doctor!!

    Happy house hunting!

    Sarah xx
