I'm Not 'A Wheelchair'
Living with a disability means a whole concoction of things; yes, you actually have a disability (or a long list of them), and you find ways of adapting etc. But you also have to handle other people's views and comments (sometimes nasty and negative) on your condition. I could no doubt write a stupidly long post on what I've been told over the years about my illnesses by strangers/family/acquaintances, things that have annoyed me, that are misconceptions, or are plain rude. However I wanted to address this one thing.

March #Paperhaul Subscription Box
Bow down to the March #Paperhaul box - it's absolutely bloody beautiful. I squealed so loudly when I opened it as the colours and design are right up my street.

6 Acts of Kindness I'm Grateful For As A Disabled Person
I'm first to call-out injustice, crap accessibility, ableism and ignorance. As a disabled person, I experience negativity a lot and it's really difficult. But I wanted to dedicate this post to the other side of that, I want to tip my hat and wheel spin to those people that are considerate, that do help disabled people, and are often overlooked.

The Body Shop All-In-One BB Cream and Instaglow CC Cream
I'm always on the hunt for a light base that I can slap on quickly and it give me enough coverage that I'm not looking like a corpse (#TeamNoSleep) or something that helps me feel a bit more put together. I have temperamental skin, it's either pretty decent or a train-wreck, and I'm not confident enough to leave the house completely barefaced but I also don't want to always wear a medium-full coverage base. So, when I was raiding The Body Shop a few weeks ago and came across these two products, I had to have them.

Worry Time: An Anxiety Technique
Six weeks ago I wrote an in-depth post on what I've learnt at CBT, and a lot of people seemed quite intrigued by Worry Time. So for anyone that wanted it, here's a much more detailed post on this technique.

Trialling Glasses At Home and Buying Online with Glasses Direct
At the end of January I went for my routine two yearly eye test and shocker, my prescription had changed. I was expecting it but it was such a drastic change that I was told I'd need to have my lenses thinned, which added another chunk of money onto my already expensive frames. I'd not planned on that so couldn't afford them right away, and began panicking as I try to keep to a budget. I'd also been advised to have another eye test in a year instead of two, since the amended prescription was so extreme. This added to my 'I don't want to pay out loads of money for glasses I might have to change in a year,' dilemma. My best friend had previously bought from Glasses Direct, so when I got home, I got online and had a browse.

6 Sex Tips for Chronic Pain Sufferers
After writing about sex and disability a few weeks ago, I decided I was going to continue the conversation. You can read my other post here. Now, I'm no expert (or should I say 'sexpert'?) but I've lived with chronic pain for almost twenty years so thought I'd share some tips on having sex whilst suffering with chronic pain.

10 Things I Hate About You
All I can see is Heath Ledger dancing down those bleachers singing 'Can't Take My Eyes Off You'. Okay, now I'm swooning. I'm pretty sure I was more in love with him than Usher back in the day, and that's saying something.

BBC Three - Things Not To Say To People Who Use Wheelchairs
If you don't follow me on any of my social media platforms you might not have seen me raving on about how I was in a BBC Three short film. If you've not watched it, I urge you to go and do that now, I'll link it here but I've also embedded it down below.

February Favourites
I must admit, I've not worn a lot of makeup this month because I've been in a bad pain flare. And then my skin was awful, and to top it all off, the last two weeks I've had colossal cold sores. There's nothing more of a deterrent to cosmetics than a scabby face and mouth. But there's still a few new (and one not-so new) things I've had a little love affair with.
